MARY D. McKINZIE

Mary D. McKinzie, oldest daughter of L. J. and Belle McKinzie, was born in Douglas county, Kansas, August 1887 and passed away in Chicago, June 1, 1920, aged 32 years, 9 months and 13 days. She was married and to this union was born one daughter, Phyllis. Besides her daughter she leaves to mourn her loss, her mother and stepfather, three sisters and one brother; her father dying about 18 years ago.

Funeral services were held at the home of her cousin, Frank P. Lee at Central Park Ave., Chicago, June 4th, conducted by Rev. Henry Waters. Music and songs were rendered by the Pacific church choir, and Ladies' Philathea Auxiliary, of which Mary was a member. Mary's quiet demeanor and spirit endeared her in the hearts of all who knew her and was tested by the many expressions of sympathy, and the beautiful floral offerings.

The out of town relatives who attended the funeral were her mother, Mrs. Jackson of Winterset, Iowa; two sisters: Mrs. Geo. Dooley and Mrs. John Kinney of Cumming, Iowa; her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. S. P. Shoemaker and two cousins of Federal Dam, Minn.

Burial was made in the Elmwood cemetery. She has left us behind to mourn, but to her a sweeter world is born.
