HARVEY S. MCKIBBEN
The funeral of Harvey McKibben, who died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Miller, in Canada, on Wednesday, was held at the home of his sister, Mrs. Sylvanus Compton, Saturday afternoon, in charge of Rev. Howard, followed by interment in the Earlham cemetery.

Thursday, July 22, 1920Mr. Harve McKibben, only remaining brother of S. S. McKibben, passed away Wednesday at the home of his sister, Mrs. Miller residing in Minnesota. The details of the death are not completely known, but he had been visiting another daughter in Canada and enroute to the home of Mrs. Miller became prostrated because of neglect in dressing an abscess from which he suffered, with the result that he died soon after his arrival. The remains will be brought to Earlham Saturday and a service held at the home of Mrs. S. M. Compton at 2:30 p.m. Interment will be in the McKibben Cemetery.

Thursday, July 29, 1920Harvey Steward McKibben was born in Brown Co., Ohio April 15, 1846. He came to Dallas Co., Iowa with his parents in 1855. On Sept. 10, 18-- he was married to Arabelle Adams who also was born in Brown Co., Ohio, coming here with her parents in 1850. To them was born six children, five of whom are living. They are: Mrs. Dora B. Stanley, Plainfield, Iowa, William of Jefferson, Iowa, Mrs. Georgia Hoover, of Alberta, Canada, Mrs. Mildred Miller, of Northfield, Minn., Walter of Hutchinson, Kansas, and Mrs. Mattie Kenworthy, who died June 16, 1918. Mrs. McKibben died Feb. 9, 1908. He has since made his home with his children, becoming ill at the home of his daughter in Canada about four weeks ago. Mr. McKibben left there July 9th, arriving at Northfield two days later. Meanwhile he had become seriously ill and on July 22nd he passed away at the home of Mrs. Mildred Miller, aged 74 years, 3 months and 7 days.
Funeral services were held at the home of the sister, Mrs. S. M. Compton at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, conducted by the pastor and interment was made in the Earlham cemetery at the side of his wife who preceded him about twelve years ago. A large body of friends and relatives gathered at this service to pay tribute of reverence and affection to the memory of a good citizen and man.
