Services for Beatrice M. Edwards, 63, Lorimor, who died Jan. 4 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital, will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 7, at the Lorimor Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Smith officiating. Burial will be at the Moon Cemetery at Macksburg.
Born June 17, 1924 in Adair County, she was the daughter of Alvin and Edith Tyrell Fulton. She was married to Gail Edwards on Dec. 1, 1941 at Grant City, Mo., and lived in Macksburg, Creston and Knoxville. She moved to Lorimor in August of 1986.
She worked in physical therapy as a nurse’s aide in area nursing homes. She retired in 1978.
Survivors include her husband; daughters, Dorothy Franke and husband Wayne of Polk City, and Kathy Allsup and husband Jim of Winterset; a son, Gary and wife Judi of Winterset; eight grandchildren and four step-grandsons; brothers, Bill of West Des Moines, Lester of Henderson, Nev., and Carl of Kansas City, Mo., and Robert of Creston; and her mother, of Creston.
She was preceded in death by her father and a brother. Memorials should be made to the family.
Family night is from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Watts-Lindsay Funeral Home at Lorimor.
