Bula Buchanan, 67, of rural Indianola, died of cancer Saturday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity Baptist Church in Des Moines, with burial in St. Charles.

Mrs. Buchanan was born in West Virginia and lived in Warren and Madison Counties until she moved to Des Moines in 1949. She recently lived in Indianola.

She was the retired owner and operator of the Berachan Valley Bible Camp in St. Charles and a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Charles J. of Duncanville, Texas, and William M. of Indianola; a sister, Ruby Gidion of Des Moines; a stepsister Virginia Souder of Jacksonville, Fla.; a step-brother, Earl Reed of Mossy Rock, Wash., and two grandchildren.

Friends may call today or Monday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home. The family suggests that any memorial contributions be made to the Organ Fund of Trinity Baptist Church.
