CHARITON, IA.—Esther L. Brown, 72, of Chariton died of a heart attack Friday at home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Fielding Funeral Home in Chariton. Burial will be in Peru Cemetery in Madison County.

Mrs. Brown was born in Peru and was a retired cook at the Corydon Care Center. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include three sons, John of Chariton and Marvin and Roger, both of Newllano, La.; three daughters, Della Drost of Phoenix, Ariz., Jean Ingram of Chariton and Marcia Allen of Corydon; two sisters, Louise Showers of St. Charles and Reba Thompson of Mitchellville; and 10 grandchildren.

Friends may call after 8 a.m. today at the funeral home, where family will receive visitors from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.

Esther L. Brown, 72, of Chariton, sister of Mrs. Louise Showers of St. Charles, died of a sudden heart attack at her home in Chariton Aug. 1. Funeral services were at Fielding Funeral Home in Chariton with burial at the Peru Cemetery.
