Thomas E. Egan, 90, of San Lorenzo, Calif., formerly of Des Moines, died of cancer Tuesday at a Hayward, Calif. hospital.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. John’s Catholic Church in Cumming, and burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in the Irish Settlement there.

Born in Madison County, Mr. Egan lived in Des Moines 40 years and had been a California resident since 1956. He was a retired route man for Northland Dairy and a former member of St. John’s Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Nora; one daughter, Florence Eaton of San Lorenzo; one brother, William Egan of Santa Rosa, Calif.; one sister, Margaret Nevins of Beaumont, Texas; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today, and a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today, at Westover Funeral Home.
