Margaret L. Jones, 74, of Redfield died of a heart ailment Friday at Panora Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Bear Creek Friends Church in Earlham, with burial at Earlham Cemetery.

Mrs. Jones was born in Earlham and had moved to Redfield in 1960. She was retired from Preferred Risk Insurance Co.

She is survived by four sons, Dick Barnett of Earlham, Kim Jones of Dexter, Barry Jones of Maryville, Mo., and Troy Jones of Redfield; two daughters, Deb Doherty of Stuart and Kris Robinson of Des Moines/ three brothers, Ralph Stanley, Jr. of Earlham, Chuck Stanley of Menlo and Jim Stanley of Adel; three sisters, Barbara Throckmorton of Humeston, Martha Rees of Stuart and Helen Gilbert of Highland, Ill.; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Barnett and Orville Jones.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Fisher Funeral Home in Adel.

Margaret L. “Maggie” Jones, 74, of Redfield, died of congestive heart failure Friday, Feb. 28, 2003, at Panora Nursing and Rehab.

Services were held Tuesday, March 4, at Bear Creek Friends church in Earlham, with burial at Earlham Cemetery.

Margaret Jones was born in Earlham, the daughter of Ralph and Delma Harlan Stanley. She lived in that area before moving to Redfield in 1960. She had worked at Preferred Risk Co.

She is survived by four sons, Dick Barnett of Earlham, Kim Jones of Dexter, Barry Jones of Maryville, Mo., and Troy Jones of Redfield; two daughters, Deb Doherty of Stuart, and Kris Robinson of Des Moines; three brothers, Ralph Stanley, Jr., of Earlham; Chuck Stanley of Menlo and Jim Stanley of Adel; three sisters, Barbara Throckmorton of Humeston, Martha Reese of Stuart and Helen “Tootie” Gilbert of Highland, Ill.; 14 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Marvin Barnett and Orville Jones; one grandson; and one step-grandson.

Services were held Monday, March 3, at Fisher Funeral Home in Adel.
