JOSEPH W.HARWOOD

The sad news came to town Saturday of the death of Little Joe, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Leland Harwood in Texas, where they went for the winter. They will bring the body home for burial. This is a sad homecoming for them and they have the hearty sympathy of the community in their said bereavement.

JOSEPH HARWOOD

Joseph Woodrow, son of Leland and Lottie Harwood, was born April 23, 1917, near Peru, Madison county, and passed away Feb. 6 , 1920, with membraneous croup, in Donna, Texas, where the family then resided, at the age of 2 year, 9 months and 18 days.

Little Joe was a bright, loving little boy. He spoke many times of coming home.

He is survived by a father, mother and three sisters: Bessie, Alina and Mary; and an Uncle, W. C. Harwood, all of whom were present when death came. The little body was laid to rest in the Peru cemetery, Rev. Smith of the M. E. church, officiating.
