Services for Irene Mae Alexander, 78, of 517 Gem St. will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Visitation Catholic Church, with burial in the Earlham Cemetery.

Mrs. Alexander died Wednesday of cancer at Iowa Lutheran Hospital.

Born in Kansas City, Kan., Mrs. Alexander lived in Des Moines 50 years. She was a member of Christ the King Church.

She is survived by a son, Charles E. Prather of Centralia, Wash.

There will be a scripture service at 7 tonight at Hamilton’s Funeral Home.
