Death of MRS. ANDREW MACUMBER

The death of Mrs. Elizabeth McKibben Macumber on Saturday morning Dec. 20 closed a life of usefulness in this community. Coming to Madison county with her parents, the family settled in Lincoln township in 1854. At this time she was but ten years old. She married the late Andrew Macumber, a large land holder in Lincoln township. In social and business life of Lincoln, the family has been a power and Mrs. Macumber's demise will add one more name to the death roll of Madison county's old residents. She leaves three sons, William E., Elwood and Ora; also one daughter, Mrs. E. V. Callison.

Funeral services were held on Monday morning, conducted by Rev. Mr. Stewart of Indianola, with Rev. W. J. Stewart of Winterset assisting.
