Former Resident Brought Back to Macksburg for Burial
Wesley G. Garrett, a former resident of the Macksburg community died at a nursing home at Oskaloosa Dec. 14th, at the age of 72 years.
Mr. Garrett was born in Clarke county, on March 2, 1870, the son of Charles and Catherine McGuire Garrett. He was married to Edith Noe on Aug. 22, 1896. They were the parents of five children.
He is survived by his wife; the five children, Mrs. Faye Edelbrock of Kansas City, Mo., and Arlie, Violet, Hazel and Mae, all of Oskaloosa; and two brothers, Charley Garrett of Macksburg and Harley Garrett of St. Charles.
Funeral services were held Wednesday of last week at Oskaloosa and burial was made at the Moon cemetery at Macksburg. Services were in charge of the Rev. Charles M. Edmonson of Oskaloosa.

Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Garrett drove to Oskaloosa on Wednesday to attend the funeral services of his brother, Wesley Garrett which were held in the Powers funeral home at 10 o’clock. The body was brought here and short services were held at the grave in the Moon cemetery.
