Page 5Mrs. T. H. Hopkins Dies
F. A. Garretson received word last week of the death of his sister Mrs. T. H. Hopkins of Seattle, Washington. Mrs. Hopkins, who was 83 years of age, died suddenly at her home Monday, May 4th. She had had the flu several weeks ago, but her condition was not regarded as serious.
The deceased, the former Eva Garretson, was a daughter of the late Judge and Mrs. N. W. Garretson, and was born and raised in Winterset. She was one of twelve children, and F. A. Garretson is the only surviving member of the family. She was married here to Mr. Hopkins, and they moved west 56 years ago, and have since resided there. She leaves her husband and her brother. Her only son Lyndon, was killed in the first World war. Funeral and burial services for Mrs. Hopkins were held in Seattle, Thursday, May 7.
