FITZROY SIMPSON Killed

W. C. Krabiel received word this morning that his nephew Fitzroy Simpson of Kansas City had been killed by highwaymen late Tuesday night.

Mr. Simpson was the grandson of Mrs. Lydia Newlon and several years after his removal from Winterset, he was legally adopted by his step father, R. D. Simpson. Fitzroy was born in this county and lived with his parents on the Topley farm southwest of town, until he was about twelve years of age. He was just discharged from the army where he was a Lieutenant in an artillery corps, and was living with his parents in Kansas City.

Many people here knew him when he was a boy and all express their sympathy that this young fellow should meet such a tragic death.
