February 26, 1919, page 4Death of WILLIAM PRICE
An old resident of Penn township died on Thursday, Feb. 21, in the person of William Price, who passed away at the home of his son, W. J. Price in Earlham.
Mr. Price came to this country from England in early manhood and moved to Madison county from Illinois, about 20 years ago. For many years he resided a mile north of Penn Center, then moved to Earlham, where he has resided for nearly 25 years. Since the death of Mrs. Price, he has made his home with his son, Walter. Mr. Price was a remarkably well read and well informed man, keeping up his reading even at his advanced age – 88 years. Everywhere he had the genuine respect of a wide acquaintance.
Funeral services were held in Earlham Saturday with Rev Cachiaras conducting the service. Burial at the Earlham cemetery.
