St. Charles (Special), Aug. 17—The death of Mrs. Floyd Martin, 81, occurred at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Chas. Merryman on Wednesday evening, Aug. 17. Mrs. Martin suffered a light stroke on Wednesday morning, while in the beauty shop, having her hair dressed, but was able to be taken to her home and almost immediately a second stroke came which rendered her unconscious and completely paralyzed and death followed in a few hours.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Mabel Merryman of St. Charles, Mrs. Hazel Fort of Des Moines, another daughter in California, and one son of near Sioux City.
Funeral services were held at the Merryman home Friday afternoon with burial in the St. Charles cemetery.
