News of Interest from St. Charles

MRS. MILLIE CARTER DIED WEDNESDAY AT AGE OF 82 YEARS

News came to friends here Wednesday evening of the death of Mrs. Millie Carter, 82, at the county home near Winterset, after a long period of ill health. She was highly respected and loved by all with whom she came in contact and having lived perhaps sixty years in and near St. Charles, her friends were numbered by scores.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Anna Witter of Des Moines, two grandsons and several great grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at Blair Chapel, with burial in the cemetery nearby beside her husband.
