On Saturday morning at 4 o'clock occurred the death of Elkana Cook, after many months of serious illness. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon with a short service at the residence, followed by the regular preaching service on the church lawn at Bear Creek. The service was conducted by Rev. Lescault, assisted by Rev. Hoskins, the pastor at Bear Creek. The funeral arrangements were planned by the departed some time ago. Interment was made at the Bear Creek cemetery.
