Maxine Delong, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Loy Delong, was afflicted with the flu and took pneumonia, which caused her death. She was a sweet little girl and was a sunbeam in her home, where she was dearly loved. She left a sorrowing father, mother and a baby brother, besides many other relatives, to mourn her early departure. She was laid to rest in the Fields cemetery.

WASHINGTON

Maxine, the little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Loy DeLong, died quite suddenly from the effects of influenza. She was a delicate child and tenderly cared for and loved by her people as well as all who knew her. “My Lord has need of these flowers gay, the reaper said, and smiled. Dear tokens of the earth are they where he was once a child.”
