REBECCA HINDMAN
Word came to Mrs. Wm. Holdcroft Wednesday of the death of her aunt, Rebecca Hindman, at the Frank Hindman home in Nebraska, after many months of affliction.
The body was brought her for burial, reaching Peru Thursday morning. Funeral services occurred from the M. E. church, conducted by Rev. G. W. Wood, Thursday at 10 o'clock, after which she was laid to rest in the Ebenezer cemetery.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hindman accompanied the remains of their aunt, Miss Hindman, here for burial.

Page 8, Column 3Mrs. W. E. Holdcroft received a telegram Wednesday of the death of her aunt Rebecca Hindman at the home of her nephew, Frank Hindman, in Nebraska. The body reached Peru Thursday morning, the funeral was held from the M. E. church conducted by Rev. Wood, the same forenoon, and the body was laid at rest in the family lot in Ebeneezer cemetery. The following obituary was read:
Rebecca Hindman was born in Wellsburg, West Virginia, Feb. 17th, 1844, and died at Palmer, Merrit county, Nebraska, March 5th 1918, age 74 years and ten months, and 9 days. When a child she came with her parents to Ohio where they lived a short time, when they came to Madison county, Iowa, living on a farm southwest of Peru until about four years ago when she moved to town. Going about a year ago to her nephew in Nebraska.
She was a good woman loved and respected, by all who knew her, and has gone to reap the reward of the faithful.
The remains were brought here on Wednesday and funeral services were conducted by Rev. Geo. W. Wood, the pastor, and the burial was in the Ebeneezer cemetery by the side of several members of the family laid to rest preceding here several years ago.
