HARRY HALL DIED FRIDAY MORNING

Death Follows Operation to Relieve Stomach Ailment. Funeral Held Sunday.

Harry Hall, 62, died in Earlham early Friday morning following an operation for stomach ulcers from which Mr. Hall had suffered for years.

Funeral services in charge of Rev. L. G. Wolfe were held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Welch’s Funeral Home. Burial was in the De Soto cemetery.

Harry Edward Hall, the oldest child of William and Anna Elizabeth Hall was born in Fulton county, Illinois, December 5th, 1873.

His parents came to Iowa when he was a small child and located in Cass county and in 1883 moved to De Soto—which was their home for many years.

He was married to Miss Ada Hamlin of Stuart, February 21st, 1900. To this union a son and a daughter were born, both dying in infancy.

For the past 17 years he has been engaged in farming near Earlham. He passed away March 13th, 1936 after many months of ill health at the age of 62 years, three months and eight days. He leaves to mourn his departure, his wife, three brothers, C. B. Hall of Star, Idaho, Walter H. and Loyd D. Hall, of Earlham; and two sisters Mrs. J. A. Scarborough of Valley Junction; and Mrs. M. Kramer of De Soto, and many other relatives.

He was a good husband and a wonderfully kind brother, neighbor and friend. In his passing it can be truly said “He lived in his house by the side of the road and was a friend to man.”
