James E. Cameron, a former resident of this county, died suddenly at his home south of Scranton on Sunday evening, September 2, 1934. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Scranton on Tuesday afternoon at two o’clock, with the Rev. Ellis in charge. Burial was made in the Scranton cemetery. A few facts of his life follow:

Mr. Cameron was the son of Robert and Marian Cameron and was born on a farm near Winterset December 18, 1885. He was married to Rosella Pinckney of Winterset on April 18, 1906, and the young couple established their home near there. Later they moved to a farm near Macksburg, where they lived until fourteen years ago when they moved to Greene county.

They were the parents of three sons and one daughter, Alvin, Paul, Delbert and Margaret, who, with his wife survive him. He also leaves his mother, Mrs. Mary Ann Cameron of Winterset, and two brothers and one sister, Charles L. and Marion R. Cameron and Mrs. Helen Pilmer, all of Winterset.
