Cynthia May Pratt, daughter of Rueben and Martha Reed was born April 11, 1868 at Thayer and passed away at her home southeast of Winterset, June 13, 1934, at the age of 66 years, two months and two days.

She was united in marriage to William Pratt, May 27, 1889. To this union were born four children, two dying in infancy. She leaves her husband and two children, George of Afton and Harry at home; also two grandchildren, William and Irene. She leaves one brother, John Reed of Thayer and two sisters, Mrs. Lillie Burkepile and Mrs. Tima Landers both of Tacoma, Washington.

On Friday, June 15th, funeral services for her were conducted at the Ramsey-Richards Funeral home by Rev. A. R. Weed, and she was buried in the Rock City cemetery.
