Earlham — A funeral for Mildred Stump Rohrer, 82, of Des Moines was held June 20, 1988 at Fisher Funeral Home at Van Meter. Mrs. Rohrer died of cancer on June 17 at Altoona Manor in Altoona. Burial was in the Thornton Cemetery near Van Meter.

The daughter of Charles and Amanda Mapes, she was born at Earlham on June 24, 1905. A homemaker, Mrs. Rohrer had lived in Des Moines for 40 years and lived at Adair and DeSoto prior to that.

Survivors include a son, Dean Stump of Altoona; a sister, Ethel Long of Urbandale; a grandson, Gary Stump; and two great-grandsons.
