PEARL WILKINSON, Indianola

Pearl Wilkinson, 89, of Indianola, died Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2011, at Kavanagh House in Des Moines.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 7, at McCalley-Collins Funeral Home in Winterset, with Rev. Dr. Beverlee Bell officiating. Burial will be in the Winterset Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from noon to 8 p.m. at the funeral home, with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be directed to the family for a future designation.

Pearl was born on Nov. 23, 1921, at Saline, Mo., to Perry and Edna (Helton) Driskill. She was married on Sept. 14, 1946, at Newton, Iowa, to Marvin E. Wilkinson. Pearl lived in the Winterset area for most of her life, working as a certified nurses aide and medical aide for West Bridge Care and Rehabilitation. She had been a member of the Worthington United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin E. Wilkinson; an infant daughter, Cathy; five brothers and one sister.

She is survived by her daughters, Sharon Scheve of Indianola, Deborah Douglas of Des Moines, and Peggy Roney of Clarksville; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are being handled by McCalley-Collins Funeral Home.
