Catherine Ann Kingery Croft, 96, daughter of Ira and Anna Catherine Davis Kingery, was born April 20, 1915 in Madison County near Lorimor. She passed away from this life September 15, 2011 at Winterset Care Center North.
Kate attended Winterset High School. She was united in marriage to Stanley C. Croft in Bethany, MO on December 16, 1931 and had 65 wonderful years together. She was a homemaker and co-partner in their construction business, Croft Shop and S & G Construction. Kate was a member of the Crown Rebekah Lodge for many years. She enjoyed reading and sewing and loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include her daughter, Ruth (Rex) Dorrell; son, Eugene (Barb) Croft; seven grandchildren, RaeLynn Dorrell, Randy (Nancie) Dorrell, Ragina (Craig) Rothamel, Bruce (Tania) Croft, Michelle (Larry) Baumgardner, Mike (Stacie) Croft, Rusty (Natalie) Croft; eight great grandchildren, Mindy (Brandon) Gehrke, Katie Dorrell, Drew Dorrell (Sasha Mecham), Tyson Rothamel, Mandy, Ashley, and Abby Baumgardner, and Pearl Croft; sister-in-law, Merle Kingery, and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, September 24 at McCalley-Collins Funeral Home in Winterset with a private family committal service at Winterset Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Middle River Hospice or Winterset Care Center North.
