Ernest “Pat” Patterson, 82, of Indianola died of a heart ailment Wednesday at home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Peterson Funeral Home, with burial at Mount Pilliar Cemetery in Patterson.

Mr. Patterson was born in Carlisle and lived in the Indianola area many years. He had been a farmer and truck driver and was an Army veteran of World War II.

Surviving are two daughters, Sherry Tish of Winterset and Jane Riehl of Tinton Falls, N. J.; a son Loren Goodwin of Indianola; a brother, Bruce Patterson of Carlisle; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.
