Velma A. Patterson, 75, of Indianola died of a respiratory ailment Thursday at Luther Park Health Center, 1555 Hull Ave. in Des Moines. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola, with burial at Mount Pelier Cemetery in Madison County.

Mrs. Patterson was born in Weldon and had lived in Indianola 17 years. She was a retired Avon sales representative and a member of Ladies Auxilliary of Indianola.

Survivors include her husband, Ernest; a son, Loren Goodwin of Indianola; two daughters, Sherry Tish of Winterset and Jane Riehl of Tinton Falls, N. J.; three brothers, William Berch and John Berch, both of Truro, and Roy Berch of Blue Eye, Mo.; two sisters, Delia Collins of Kansas City, Mo., and Donna Missi of DeFuniak, Fla.

Friends may call after 1 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
