SETH L. NELSON Dies at 77 Years

Retired Webster Township Farmer Died Here Last Wednesday

Seth L. Nelson, a farmer in Webster township for most of his active life, died last Wednesday, Aug. 12, 1964, at Memorial hospital in Winterset. He was 77 years of age.

Mr. Nelson was a native of South Dakota, where he was born at Faulkton on Dec. 13, 1886 a son of William A. and Elizabeth Golden Nelson. He was married Feb. 28, 1922, at Winterset, to Addie May McDonald. Her death occurred in 1929.

Mr. Nelson retired from farming in 1961 and had been making his home in Winterset. He was a member of the West Star Methodist church.

He was preceded in death also by an infant daughter, Doris Elizabeth. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Inez Marquardt; two grandsons, Doyle and Darvin Marquardt; two brothers, Guy Nelson of Lorimor and Bert Nelson of Peru; and two sisters, Mrs. Jess Ham of Winterset and Mrs. Will Frederickson of Woodbine, Maryland.

Funeral services were held Friday from the Collins Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Arthur Weed of Orient. Burial was made in the Chase-McDonald cemetery.
