DEE HALBROOK Died Wednesday

Dee Halbrook of Winterset was fatally stricken while enroute to Des Moines by automobile on Saturday, April 3, He was taken by ambulance to a Des Moines hospital where he died last Wednesday, April 7, 1971.

Mr. Halbrook was 86 years of age. He was born Dec. 22, 1884, at Salem, Mo. He came to Winterset five years ago from the Mason City vicinity, where he had lived for 30 years.

He was married in Salem in 1907 to Dora Mae Williams, who survives him.

Mr. Halbrook was a member of the Christian church.

In addition to his wife, he leaves three sons, Duane Halbrook of Omaha, Ray Halbrook of Ft. Worth, Tex., and Clifford Halbrook of Grand Junction, Colo.; two daughters, Mrs. Violet Pringle of Des Moines and Mrs. Elsie Hilton of Winterset; 10 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and four sisters.

Funeral services were held Friday from the Eyerly Funeral home in Clarion, with the Rev. Mr. Aikin officiating. Burial was made in the cemetery at Rowan.
