Martha Shepherd

Martha Elizabeth Syas was born at Constantine, Mich. May 26, 1844.

When 4 years old her parents moved to Ohio until 1857 when they moved to Winterset, Iowa. She married Alexander Shepherd in 1867.

She was a member of the Eastern Star Fern Leaf Chapter on Feb. 18, 1895 and transferred to Castlewood Chapter May 17, 1904.

Three children: Frank Shepherd, Minnie Boswell and another which died at a young age.
