Edgar F. Lathrum

Edgar F. Lathrum, 84, of 4594 N.W. First St., died Saturday morning of a heart ailment at Des Moines General Hospital.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, at Westover Funeral Home with burial at St. Charles.

Mr. Lathrum was born in Truro and lived in St. Charles before moving to Des Moines in 1924. He was a retired construction worker.

Surviving are his wife, Retta; three sons, Bernal of Johnston, Clark of Carlisle and Charles of Bondurant; five daughters, Mrs. Opal Bechtol of Osakis, Minn., Mrs. Berniece Ford, Mrs. Garnetta Wade, Mrs. Twylla Milligan and Mrs. Joanna Miller, all of Des Moines; a sister, Mrs. Ada Rush of Des Moines; 25 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
