Francis Rex Lane, 75, of Port Richey, died Saturday (Dec. 16, 1995) at North Bay Medical Center. Born in Winterset, Iowa, he came here seven years ago from Dayton, Ohio.

He was a chef at the Firestone Country Club, Akron, Ohio, and a member of Suncoast Baptist Church. He was a member of the AMVETS Post 99, Vandalia, Ohio.

Survivors include a son, Lester, New Port Richey; two daughters, Patricia Russell, Tiffin, Ohio, and Berit Forsyth, Akron; two brothers, Don, Marlboro, Md., and Phil, Van Meter, Iowa; a sister, Ines Johnson, Creston, Iowa; a companion, Maxine Letterbein, Port Richey; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandsons. Francis Rex Lane, 75, of Port Richey died Saturday at North Bay Medical Center in New Port Richey.

A native of Winterset, Iowa, he moved to this area seven years ago from Dayton, Ohio.

He was retired from Firestone Hill Country Club in Akron, Ohio, an Army veteran of World War II; and a member of Amvets in Vandalia, Ohio; and Suncoast Baptist Church in New Port Richey.

He is survived by a son, Lester of New Port Richey; two daughters, Patricia Russell of Tiffin, Ohio, and Berit Forsyth of Akron; two brothers, Don of Marlboro, Md., and Phil of Van Meter, Iowa; a sister, Ines Johnson of Creston, Iowa; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandsons. He had a close companion, Maxine Letterbein of Port Richey.
