Mrs. S. E. Smith died Sunday night at Valley Junction

Mr. and Mrs. B. M. Roark were called to Valley Junction last week by the serious illness of Mr. Roark’s sister, Mrs. S. E. Smith. She died at 11:00 p.m. Sunday.

Mrs. Smith was a former teacher in Madison and Adair counties.

Funeral services were held at Valley Junction Methodist church Tuesday. Interment was in the Penn Center cemetery.

The body of Mrs. Elradie Roark Smith of Valley Junction, was laid to rest in the family lot at Penn Center cemetery Tuesday afternoon. Mrs. Smith grew to womanhood on the Roark homestead now owned by Mrs. Jasper Marston and was a school teacher in Penn township for a number of years.
