ETHAN FORREST GODWIN, Earlham

Ethan Forrest Godwin died at Blank Children's hospital on Sunday from medical complications he bravely fought since birth. A fifth grader at Earlham Elementary, Ethan had a contagious smile and was a friend to all. He loved sports and was able to participate in basketball for two years. Ethan loved playing outside with his brothers, cousins, and friends at the park or at his grandparents' farm.

Ethan leaves behind a large family: Parents, Kevin and Leslie Winey with his four brothers Ashton, Ethan, Josh, and Carson. Maternal grandparents Ron and Cathy Godwin; Paternal grandparents Keith and Diane Winey; maternal great grandfather Ed Clark; paternal great grandparents Coleen Winey and Thomas and Idamae Fake; Aunts Cindy (Mike) Madren, Shelley (Tim) Gittins; uncles Ryan Godwin, Kevin Godwin; cousins Logan, Mason, TJ, Dawson, Cole, Canton, Ike as well as numerous relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday March 30, 2011 at Crossroad Free Evangelical Church, just North of Earlham from 4 to 8 p.m. where the family will greet friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday March 31, 2011 at the Earlham School Auditorium. A family burial will be in the Morrisburg Cemetery Friday April 1, 2011 at 9:30 a.m.
