MRS. CHAS. E. JESSUP

Ora Luella Owens was born in Jackson county, Indiana, Aug. 20, 1870 and died in Des Moines, July 26, 1917, aged 46 years, 11 months and six days.

She was united in marriage to Chas. E. Jessup Feb. 18, 1885. To this union were born nine children, Mary Bell and Edgar Ethel dying in infancy. Lena Bess Wright died July 8, 1982, Opal Elizabeth King, April 13, 1917. She joined the Christian church when 12 years of age and has been a faithful member until the time of her death.

She leaves to mourn their loss a husband and five children: Mrs. John Evans, Mrs. Pearl Debord, Mrs. Chester Evans and Alvin and Neta at home. She also leaves a mother, Mrs. Elwell, two brothers: Will and Bert Owens of Calument, Okla., and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon from the Christian church by her pastor, Rev. A. D. Mann and burial made at the Baptist cemetery northeast of the city.
