CHARLES W. CALLISON

Charles William Callison was born near Cumming, Warren county, Iowa, Sept 9, 1866, and died at his home on Feb. 16, 1917, at the age of 50 years, 5 months and 7 days.

In 1888 he was united in marriage with Miss Emma Johnson, daughter of Captain and Mrs. N. W. Johnson of Madison county. To this union was born one daughter, Mary, now Mrs. Will G. Wright of Eldora Springs, Mo. The mother passed away in 1889. Two years later he went to Minneapolis, Minn., where he remained until 1908, when he returned to Cumming, where he resided until his death.

The following year he was united in marriage to Mrs. Rose Dunn of Van Meter, who with her daughter, Opal Dunn, survive him. He also leaves one sister, Mrs. Carl Hanson of Cumming, and three brothers: Calvin T. of Laverne, Okla; A. Frazier of Buffalo Creek, Colo., and Jacob G. of Cumming; besides two uncles, V. L. and W. B. Callison of Winterset, and a host of friends.

The funeral services were conducted from the home Monday, Feb. 19th by Rev. Taylor Guthrie, pastor of the Cumming Friends church and Rev. A. L. Golden of the Highland Park M. E. church of Des Moines. Interment was made in the Norwalk cemetery.
