Fatal Accident

Mrs. Alex Macumber, of Barney, met with an accident in Des Moines Tuesday morning which resulted in her death last night. As she was crossing a street in Des Moines she was struck by a speeding truck and rendered unconscious. She was rushed to the hospital and medical attention given her but she was so badly injured that little hopes were held out for her recovery.

The remains were brought to Barney on No. 5 today and the funeral may be held tomorrow, although at this time no definite arrangements have been made. – Lorimor Journal
