Karl Fillmore Phillips, 85, died May 22, 1991 in the Richfield Care Center.

Born October 18, 1905, Winterset, Iowa, to Andrew Lyman and Rose Maybell Cornman Phillips. Married Melba Grace Cowley, October 8, 1927, MarVista, California. He moved to Venice in 1927, where he raised three sons. In 1952 they moved to Torrance, California, where he was a plasterer. Upon his retirement in 1972, they moved back to Venice, to their family farm.

Survived by his wife of 64 years, Grace, Venice, Utah; three sons and their wives, Kenneth Warren and Darlene Phillips, Garden Grove, California; Jon Cowley and Julia Phillips, Buena Park, California; David Michael and Janette Phillips, Mission Viejo, California; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 25, 1991, 1 p.m. in the Venice LDs Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the ward chapel in Venice, Saturday, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary, Richfield, Utah.
