GEORGE MACUMBER Funeral Monday

Funeral services for George A. Macumber, a life-long resident of Madison county, were held Monday afternoon, June 27, 1966, from the First United Presbyterian church in Winterset.

Mr. Macumber died Friday evening, June 24, at Madison County memorial hospital, following an extended illness. He was 60 years of age.

The son of Clarence and Caroline Frederickson Macumber, he was born in this county on October 25, 1905. He was married to Bernice Wilkinson on October 3, 1930 at Bethany, Missouri.

A Lincoln township farm operator he made his home in Winterset for a number of years. He was a member of the local Presbyterian church and Knights of Pythias Lodge.

Surviving are his wife, two daughters, Mrs. James A. Deinema of Canton, South Dakota, and Mrs. James V. Peterson of Bethesda, Maryland; and five grandchildren, Steve, Mark, Judy Deinema and Gretchen and Nancy Peterson.

Officiating at the funeral service Monday was the Rev. John E. Fink, Presbyterian pastor. Burial was in the Winterset cemetery.
