Pg 12Theodore W., son of John A. and Marilda Jones, was born May 27th, 1853, in Van Buren county, Iowa, and died at his home in Truro, December 5th, 1926, aged 73 years, 6 months, and 8 days. He was united in marriage to Elizabeth J. Carter in 1871. To this union were born eight children, of which two sons, and one daughter have preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn his death, his wife, and five daughters: Mrs. P. E. Garst, Mrs. T. C. DeLong, Mrs. Velma Musselman, all of Truro, Mrs. Mart Smith of Des Moines, Mrs. Charles Whitehead of Murray, besides his grandchildren, two brothers, Benton and Wm. Jones; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Ellis of Missouri, and Mrs. Jennie Sullivan of Des Moines.
He was converted and united with the Methodist church at an early age, and has been a continuous member since.
The funeral was held at the home December 7th, conducted by Rev. ----- and burial was made in the Field cemetery.
