The funeral of Miss Carrie Breakenridge was held from the M. E. church last Saturday afternoon at half past one. Rev. J. W. Stribling conducted the services, assisted by Rev. Richard Haworth. Miss Breakenridge was a sister of Mrs. C. D. Bricker of this place and had at one time made her home here, where she had hosts of friends.
She was killed at Fresno, Calif., Oct. 2d, when a sight-seeing car struck the automobile in which she was riding. She was thrown several feet, the back of her head striking the pavement, which crushed the skull, killing her instantly. George Breakenridge, a brother of the deceased, accompanied the body to Iowa and Saturday night he, with other relatives, left for Muscatine, where all that was mortal of Carrie Breakenridge was laid to rest by the side of her father and mother.
