Wm. V. Pyle was born Feb. 14, 1864 in Paxton, Ford county, Ill., and died in Houston, Texas, Sept. 7, 1925, at the age of 61 years, 6 months, 23 days. With his parents, in 1870, he moved to Kansas, where he lived until 1877, when he came to Macksburg. He was married to Emma E. Craven, March 30, 1886. To this union were born six children, Jessie, who died at the age of two years; Maude E. of Des Moines; Nelle of Gary, Ind.; Harl and Ralph of Little Rock, Ark., and Clair of Houston, Texas. He is also survived by his wife, Emma of Houston; three brothers and one sister: Henry of Liberty, Mo.; Allen of Pueblo, Colo.; John of St. Paul, Minn., and Mrs. Frank Doty of Macksburg.

His wife, children and three grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Pyle and Mrs. Frank Doty, were all present at the funeral which was conducted in the Baptist church by Rev. Athey of the M. E. church, Friday, Sept. 11 at 10 a.m. Burial was in the Moon cemetery. All the relatives have returned to their homes, but Mrs. Pyle who has gone to Des Moines for a short visit with her daughter. She is planning on returning here for a short visit. The family has the sympathy of the community.
