May Conwell, aged 11 years, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. E. Conwell, succumbed to diphtheria Wednesday evening at the home of her parents on East Court Avenue, Winterset. The remains were taken to Baxter, Iowa, accompanied by the parents and sister.

Romaine, the eleven year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. E. Conwell, died Wednesday evening of diphtheria after an illness of a few days. Mr. and Mrs. Conwell left Thursday evening with the body for Baxter, where burial will be made.

Word was received here Tuesday that Me. Conwell was very ill and that the doctors feared he might have the same disease.
