LEONA EMMARETTA LOW

Leona Emmaretta, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Low, was born Feb. 17, 1917 in Madison county, Iowa, and departed this life July 23, 1918,aged 1 year, 6 months and 6 days. The babe has been in declining health for some time and although under the doctor's care for about a month grew worse. Her parents took her to the Methodist hospital in Des Moines Monday, July 22d, and she passed away the following day.

All that medical skill and loving care could do, was done to bring the little darling back to health, but all to no avail, for the spirit was released from the mortal body to go and be with the dear Savior, who said, “Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not, for of such is the kingdom of Heaven.”

She was a member of the Cradle Roll of the Wesley Chapel, M. E. Sunday school. Funeral services were held at the home of her grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Switzer, Thursday morning, July 25th, conducted by Rev. James C. Leonard, pastor of the Methodist church of Osceola, after which the body was laid away in Maple Hill cemetery.
