It is with a sorrowful heat that I write of the death of my son, Lincoln Lilley who was injured on Oct. 16th by part of an old building falling on him, and after two weeks patiently enduring pain and discomfort the tire heart ceased to act and death came suddenly Oct. 30th. He had the best of care, not only from the family, but from his many friends.

The W.O.W., of which he was a tried and true member, were faithful in their care for him. The funeral services were held at the home on Thursday afternoon conducted by Rev. Brewer, after which the W.O.W. took charge and conducted the services at the grave.

J. P. DeWitt and wife of Hastings, Nebr., who were visiting in Des Moines, attended the funeral, also J. E. Lilley and Joe Reager of Des Moines, Mrs. Nute Weaver of Conger and Mrs. Mel Ergenbright and daughter of Red Oak. Death is surely getting in a harvest around us of late.
