Announcement of the death of Dave Howell at his home in Great Bend, Kansas, was received here last week. We have no further particulars. He was one of the very early business men of Winterset, the firm of Gould & Howell, blacksmiths, being one of the firms established here prior to the war. He has resided in Great Bend since moving from Winterset many years ago.
