JANE BISHOP, WINTERSET

Jane Bishop, 83, of Winterset and formerly of Fort Myers, Fla., died Aug. 11, 2010, at Winterset Care Center South.

There will be no services. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Winterset Care Center South Activity Fund. Arrangements were handled by Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare in Winterset. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.ochiltree.com.

Jane Bishop was born Oct. 5, 1926, in Michigan to Milton and Beulah (Brundige) Cook. Her marriage to Robert Bishop took place Feb. 21, 1949. Jane, a homemaker for most of her life, was a member of the Parkway Baptist Church in Fort Myers, Fla. She also spent 17 years as a resident of the Coach Life Manor in Fort Myers.

She was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers, Ward and Carl; and a sister, Mary.

She is survived by her children — Barbara Bitz of St. Charles, Sharon Kaczmarczyk of Wayzata, Minn., and John Bishop of Camdenton, Mo.; a sister, Ann Cobb of Fort Myers, Fla.; a brother, Pete Cook of Fort Myers, Fla.; and six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
