DAVID BROWN THRIFT Dies Suddenly

D.B. Thrift, one of the older residents of Lincoln township, died suddenly Sunday morning at the home of his son, C. C. Thrift. He was in usual health when he retired Saturday evening. Early in the morning he complained of a feeling of suppressed breathing, and the son and granddaughter waited upon him, and administered a simple remedy which usually relieved these attacks, to which he was subject. He seemed much better, but a few minutes later, he was stricken while sitting by the kitchen stove and died almost instantly in the arms of his son. He was past 85 years of age and unusually well and active for one of his age. He is survived by two sons, Leonard and Charles, and one daughter, Mrs. Cad McCall all of whom reside in this vicinity.

Note: Burial was in the Winterset cemetery.
