DORIS WEEKS, MACKSBURG

Doris Weeks, 90, of Macksburg died Aug. 2, 2010, at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 5 at Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare in Winterset. Visitation will be from 1–8 p.m. today (Wednesday, Aug. 4) at the funeral home, with family present from 6–8 p.m. Burial will be at Pleasant View Cemetery, Webster Township, Madison County. Doris Weeks was born March 28, 1920, in Creston to John and Wilma (Dibel) Parsons and was a 1938 graduate of Creston High School. Her marriage to Samuel Weeks took place Nov. 16, 1950, in Osceola. Doris, a homemaker and farmwife, was a member of Hawthorne Rebekah Lodge 350 (serving twice as Grand Nobel), J.D. Craven Women’s Relief Corps 322 of Macksburg, and Macksburg Booster Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother, Charles Parsons.

She is survived by four sons, John Weeks of Lorimor, Dean Weeks of Pennsylvania, Dale Weeks of Winterset and Dave Weeks of Macksburg; and two grandchildren.
