Death of Mrs. Amos Embree

Mrs. Amos Embree, a resident of Indianola, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C. L. Wilson, of this city, last Thursday after a short illness of pneumonia. She was the mother of Dr. Embree also and was visiting her two children here when taken ill. She was 64 years of age.

She leaves one daughter and three sons, Mrs. C. L. Wilson and Dr. Embree, of this city; Frank Embree, of Des Moines, and Harold Embree, who is a student in the University at Iowa City.

The remains were taken to Indianola Saturday and the funeral services were held in that city on Sunday.

Mrs. Embree was a lady greatly respected and beloved in her community, and, in fact by everyone who knew her and her death was a shock to the people among whom she lived, as very few in Indianola knew of her illness.

Note: Burial was made in the IOOF cemetery, Indianola, Iowa.
